This is a new website dedicated to the Phoenix Pirate Football program. I hope this will become a valuable resource for players, families, alumni, community members and fans to stay connected with Phoenix football.

When I accepted this job in January of 2023. I knew this would be great challenges, but with challenge comes great opportunity. This will be my 19th season as a head coach in the Rogue Valley. This is has been my home and I have seen the hardships the Phoenix community has endured these past few years since the Almeda Fire. I have come to learn that this is an extremely resilient and proud community. I am inspired by the resolve and we plan to build a football program centered around the grit of this community.

I’m grateful for Superintendent Bent Barry and PHS Athletic Director Dave Erhhardt for this opportunity. I’m very fortunate to be on campus teaching this spring semester. Being on campus every day is critical so that we can build strong connections with current and future players. At our most recent team meeting we had close to 40 players in attendance. Before we hit the field as a team we must understand what it means to be to be a man of character and what it means to be a good teammate. I have meet individually will most of our team as we discuss long term and short term goals.

The rising of the Phoenix football program will be a process. We hope to install in our players hope and confidence to make significant progress and ultimately success in 2023.
