Phoenix Football and SOU combine for Medford Park and Rec Flag Football Camp
Friday Night Lights were on full display last week at Lithia’s Gary Wheeler Stadium when Phoenix High’s staff and players hosted a football camp for Medford Park & Rec NFL Flag League. Several SOU players were surprise guest coaches at the event.
“We are very grateful to Medford Park and Recreation for allowing Phoenix football to work with the future players in the valley,” said Head Coach Coach Charlie Hall. “It was a great opportunity for our players to work with these younger players and share their passion for football.”
The camp lasted 90 minutes and participants ranging from Kindergarten to 6th grade experienced a variety of offensive and defensive skills and drills taught by Phoenix High coaches, players and SOU players.
“I just wanted to thank the football coach and his players for the clinic they put on today. My son really enjoyed it. First thing he asked me on the drive home was when is the next one. So again thank you for your time and energy for the kids!”
